Vijay and Urmila didn’t come to Oxford to open a restaurant. They came to drop off a young relative for the start of his term — and something about the city held them there two days longer than planned.
There’s an energy in Oxford that gets into you: bicycles cutting between eight-hundred-year-old walls, conversations spilling out of libraries and onto the street, and the sense that everyone around you is halfway through discovering something.
It’s the same restlessness that first drew us to Norwich, home to the University of East Anglia, and then to Cambridge. Oxford asks the same question of everyone who visits: what do you still want to learn? Our answer was to open a vegetarian and vegan Indian restaurant near Oxford city centre, two minutes from Nuffield College, built to feed those inquisitive minds as they find out.
