SERVING NORWICH SINCE 2010
On Queens Road, close to Norwich city centre, our home carries a story that began long before our kitchen arrived. Built in 1887 as a Methodist Sunday school, this Grade II-listed building has welcomed generations through its doors.
Our own journey began with a little café on Magdalen Street in 2010, followed by Namaste Indian opposite Norwich Castle. In 2016, we made Queens Road our home—bringing Indian vegetarian cooking, family traditions and the warmth of a shared table into its next chapter.
Reclaimed wood brings its own warmth and character to the historic setting. Inspired by Atithi Devo Bhava—“the guest is God”—we welcome you with care, whether Norwich is home or somewhere you are discovering for the first time.
There is a quiet sense of destiny in this building’s next chapter: the architect associated with its 1887 Sunday school, Augustus Frederic Scott, was himself a vegetarian. More than a century later, its doors open to a home for Indian vegetarian food, kindness and shared hospitality.

CELEBRATIONS & PRIVATE GATHERINGS
Namaste Village was imagined as a place where Norwich could gather, celebrate and carry a little of the occasion home. Few things bring us more joy than welcoming a couple back with their child for a first taste of Indian food, years after they celebrated their wedding here.
Our historic Queens Road home welcomes weddings, receptions, birthdays, corporate town halls, charity fundraisers and community gatherings—approximately 120 guests seated or up to 200 standing, depending on the arrangement.
Customer toilets, baby-changing facilities, high chairs, pushchair space and cloakroom storage are also available.
CATERING FROM NAMASTE VILLAGE NORWICH
From weddings and receptions to birthdays, housewarmings, religious ceremonies, funerals and corporate gatherings, our Norwich catering brings authentic Indian vegetarian and vegan food to your chosen setting.
Tailored packages can draw from Gujarati, North Indian, South Indian and Indo-Chinese cooking, with plant-based choices, high-protein alternatives and dietary requirements carefully accommodated. When you trust us with a special day, we honour it as we would for family.
